I work in corporate communications for a large, conservative corporation. My interests in social media have been growing for quite some time, and I’m curious enough to see where it leads that I want to blog my own way through it.
While everything from open source technology to Wikipedia is fascinating to me, I’m especially interested to see what happens as the Social Web begins to truly reach America. It’s a very insular universe at the present, but I see it exponentially growing as broadband reaches more people, and simply as it grows upon itself.
So I’d like to document how we sell social media to business leaders, PR departments, employee communications departments, and the workers of America, many of whom have never heard of Firefox, even though they spend 40 hours a week in front of their computers.
